The idea for AvianBreeder.com was “hatched" in 2002 after many unsuccessful attempts to find a useful and user-friendly Internet site for professional parrot and finch breeders.

The Internet has opened up a whole new world of information to breeders and has enabled us to market our products instantly. However, the clutter on most sites makes it almost impossible to effectively buy and sell breeders and to sell unweaned and weaned babies.

We have over 30 years of experience breeding parrots and finches and think we have developed a site that will streamline breeder Internet marketing. Pet buyers can screen by individual species or search for aviaries near them.

An additional sale or two a year will easily pay for our listing fees. The fees will accomplish two things. One, it will enable us to advertise broadly in order to increase traffic flow to the site and ultimately the breeders. Secondly, it will eliminate the smaller personal breeders who generally have a few birds seasonally and others who clutter those free classified sites.

After “weaning" and refining the initial site, our redesign has added a visual appeal and better breeder screening. We've focused on the parts of the site that work well and help breeders sell more birds. Let us know how you like it.
